Furiosa
George Miller, 2024
DCP Courtesy: Warner Bros.
Classification: R18+
Words by Bruno Slonek
George Miller makes Kino. Every Australian take notes. Buy empty movie seats so we can get a blockbuster like this again. Currently, it needs another $75-95 million to break even, despite universal acclaim. Do your part. Do not believe the lies. Last IMAX screening: Sunday 7pm. (Editor’s note: I had to sneak this out in the split second Andy and Digby retreated to the basement to ‘settle some business’. They nonetheless [as Vito Corleone would say] managed to massacre my boy). Review below:
Furiosaaaa was like
Then Liam Hemsworth Went:
Art has begun to fold back on itself. Possibly the most enduring cultural offshoot of the Mad Max series, has seemingly begun to influence George Miller himself.
While MAd Max wa s; living up to his name….
He’s actually crazy. KinoTopia contacted Gibson for comment, but in turn received rambling phone calls, anonymous threats and packages containing what looked like human feces.
While ANya Said BY-EBYE
Anya Taylor-Joy was also unavailable for comment.

The original Toecutter (Hugh Keays-Byrne) is unfortunately no longer with us, giving Lachy Hulme his rightful place in the spotlight as the cultish warlord ‘Immortan Joe’.
No words. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is pure, blissful chaos, executed with harlequin-esque glee. A 2-hour-28-min runtime of pure adrenaline and practical effects; Anya Taylor-Joy going ape mode; a fucking BULLET FARMER. Hook-nose Hemsworth’s ‘How ya goin’ nasality, inflamed by seagulls, bleated out over road wars and the thrum of repurposed pre-war tech. Perfect doomsday prep for the end of the world.
